This was for one of my customers order for Eid, she always do her scarf with us but she goes with black material for her scarves. Anyhow, this marvelous black beauty contain of wool flower, silver lace, other golden lace full of beads and crystals  in vermilion (orange), hotpink (pink) and rainbow colors. Being away..not my choice

Yes being away not my choice. I'm a person who can spend hours surfing on the net, specially blogging I can do it everyday but it's not in my hand. Most of you knows I'm a wife and a mom of two girls who aged between 4 and 1. Which means less time for myself; yes I do waking up early but still not enough, I need to check emails for orders, I need to design, go checking for new materials and checking tailors as well. Kids needs attention and activities to keep them busy and the biggest activity is there mom!! I love being around them, see them laughing and crying. Jana is almost 4 years and she want to do activities all the time or (her phrase) :mom let us go to the mall I don't want to play just lets go around and check new dresses!! how sweet right!. Maybe shes willing to be designer like her mom ;) . Yara who just turn 1 year this week, shes always busy I mean each second she never sits or rest always in a mission. If shes quite that means shes into something. The good news, I'm spending unforgettable times with them and the bad news, I cant think while they are around. Here come my decision; I'm taking break for almost 3 months to clear my mind and have regularly activities for my kids, regularly routine then I'm back in the track. But that doesn't consider me giving up (will never happen) I just need to clear my mind because my schedule is full (drawing, designing and sewing). New designs will be mention in quick posts at mid of the night ;) I'm sad that I'm going to leave my passion for a while but my family needs me and I have to respond to that call. Hope you all understand what I'm going through. Love ya all.                                                          
 

Eid Wishing

Dearest readers and followers, hope you spent great Eid with your families and fellows. Our Eid was great. We had alot of outdoors activities with kids and lots of family gathering, it was much fun and bless. God bless is always upon us we just have to share it with everyone. Happy Eid.

My attempt in drawing

Recently I start a new hobby you can say, when I start with it I feel I'm flying to other world; that's why I prefer doing it in quite time, well when my kids are sleep or out with their dad. I start drawing and painting in scarves (shailah), it's something fashionable these days and I wanted to do something different than the usual designs. I used different tutorials which gave me the motive to start. I start doing my logo and here we go.. teraraaaa

 I mixed between pearl color and deep sky blue color and that was the result. Those are the colors and brush I've been using:

recently I bought new acrylic fabric colors with new brushes for different styles and thickness. I even got more excited after that and drew this rose:

You can see I've add some crystals in vermilion (level of orange) and limegreen (level of green) color.. I was so happy and excited to get those results, you can check those tutorials where I found them very useful and easy, the only problem it's in Arabic *errrgh* but maybe you can understand the steps from images. Sorry about that:

New Orders

Wow I should be proud of myself today, two post at once :-) well not lucky everyday. In other hand, it seems I'm getting busy more and more everyday, thanks God!! Last week I had an order for scarves which suppose to take for stitching only four days, yes f o u r days; customer wanted to have it for wedding on Friday. It was order of two scarves, check the images:

This design took from my customer's dress, as she wanted to be the same. It contains of silver thread with green wool yarns in the center with sky blue crystals sprinkled in organized places.

Crystals colors are pure black and white, black was in difrrent sizes but white I use few in large pieces just to break the darkness of the night ;-) I did the design in two sides.

New abaya design-part 2

In last post it seems I forgot to show you what FREE GIFTS did Tahani choose and the packaging thing. She chose two items and what a good choices ;-) she went for FG-17 and FG-18 oh and I need to remove them from the list as well. Here we go with photos:

New abaya design-part 1

In my recent posts I mentioned about making abaya for one of my sweetest customers :-) I never met her but there was hundreds of emails between us. Two days back I got email from her; she was replying at my last post International rates and this what she wrote: " Oh my god fatma ! I got my abaya today! Bitjanin,bitjanin,bitjanin! I love it ! And don't worry,it fits perfectly! Thank u so so much

I told you she's one sweet person :-) and I'm lucky to serve her and make her happy at once. At the same time I was impress with Oman Mail, it's just took 1 week to deliver the abaya not more or less and this was not the express line :-) thank you Oman Mail hope will always deal with you (thump up).

It's a bahraini design abaya with new touches, which is lace under sleeves.. check out next image    

 This new touch was Tahani's idea (the customer) and to be honest I love it. She wanted to have the same design we made it before Bahraini Unique with more touches, so we added more beads than threads. After the abaya was ready I made last touch just to impress Tahani which is crystals on scarf.

A closer look at lace with crystals added, but it seems crystals doesn't show. Bad camera very bad :-)

International rates

For long time now I was looking for shipping company who can deliver my abayas and scarves outbound. Here in Oman we can't sell anything online sadly :( but for import I went to several shipping companies over here there prices kills me; how I'm suppose to send abaya which worth 30 OMR/77.9 $ by the price 40 or 50 OMR/103 or 130 $ it's not fair to my customers.

One day I just stopped by our national post office (Oman Post) I spoke to their employees and they were friendly and helpful, they even gave me book about rates of postal services. I didn't know they have express delivery as well which takes four days to deliver. Recently I made abaya to one of my sweet customers and send it by Oman Post to the States; I can't wait to hear from my friend what she think about her abaya. My next post will be about her abaya so keep waiting for updates ;)

I would like to share some of the designs were made for customers for Eid. Just to mention some of the designs were not my choices; some of our customers wanted something to go with the design or embroideries in their dresses and some wanted something very simple. Our ordered the way they decide. Of course those designs will have codes like any other design of scarves to give variety choices to you. This one of my favorite, do you know why; because I made those crystals by myself. In all my scarves I just draw the idea and a tailor stitch but this time it was different, I decided to do the job myself and the customer was happy with the scarf. As it shows, I did different sizes and shapes of flowers with different sizes colors of crystals (orange red, rainbow & olive).

I'm really apologize as it shows this photo is not clear; I sold it before even capture a good photo but believe me this is woow full of crystals in different colors (blue foch, turquoise, light golden, lemon green and navy blue) in one straight line and one side as well.
